Family history and genealogy enthusiasts will bring their family history into focus during this year’s virtual North Star Genealogy Conference, 8-10 October 2020.
 
Sponsored by the Minnesota Genealogical Society, this online conference features live presentations by two of America's leading genealogy educators, Judy Russell and David McDonald. Registrants can also choose from twelve breakout presentations on topics involving finding and using genealogy resources, migrating ancestors, and using DNA data.
 
“The Legal Genealogist,” Judy G. Russell, JD, writes, and lectures on topics ranging from using court records in family history to understanding DNA testing. She serves on the faculty of numerous genealogy institutes and is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Board for Certification of Genealogists®, from which she holds credentials as a Certified Genealogist® and Certified Genealogical LecturerSM. Rev. Dr. David McDonald, CG® of Madison, Wisconsin, is a leading expert on American religious history and church records, lineage societies, and immigration and migration. Everyone who registers can participate in the Minnesota Genealogical Society’s annual Awards Banquet on Friday evening, 9 October. Then applaud as MGS presents awards for volunteer service to MGS and for outstanding achievements by Minnesota genealogists.
