Tips and websites will be given to use along your research path. Tracing the how and why in house histories and old structures are an important part of your genealogy research.

About the Speaker:
Genealogy has been Angela Knutson’s passion since 1981. Angela strives to uncover hidden secrets in the walls of old buildings by doing extensive research, interviewing past residents, and studying the architecture. She says: “She doesn’t see her work as a job, but as discovering the history of the way we lived.” Angela’s favorite part of genealogy is poking around in old buildings … no dusty closet or attic is off limits. Tracing the how and why these buildings were made is enthralling. She is a member of Appleton (WI) Historical Society, gives presentations for Appleton Public Library, and teaches basic genealogy classes at Park and Rec Department.
