Funeral Homes and Family History: They’re Dying to Meet You (Webinar)

This webinar presentation looks at the history of funerary practices in North America and how they differed from European practices of the day. We look at the types of records funeral homes produce as well as where to find these records. A practical example of finding records for a funeral home that no longer exists will be shown.

Dan Earl got started in genealogy when he was ten. He’s been a full-time professional genealogist since 2018. Dan has spoken to groups as small as two and as large as two thousand across the United States and Canada. He is a panelist on the GenFriends YouTube channel and the president of the Virtual Genealogical Association. Dan is a substitute high school History and English teacher, and a writer.
