Your DNA results are all a series of numbers. Learn what they mean and how to successfully compare your DNA results with your DNA matches. The same skills will be applied to yDNA, mitochondrial DNA, and autosomal DNA results from the 4 largest DNA companies – AncestryDNA, 23andMe, FTDNA, and MyHeritage. Once you learn to identify the patterns, you will be more confident in working with your DNA results and identifying your best DNA matches.

About the Speaker:
A family researcher by marriage, Cary Bright became the “keeper” of all the family photos and memorabilia because she was organized. She is the co-founder of the Seattle Genealogical Society DNA Interest Group and serves as the co-chair since 2009 presenting at least twelve DNA topic presentations each of those years. Cary loves helping other adult learners have Aha moments with genealogy education. Her 34-year Nursing career helped spark her interest in DNA and Genetic Genealogy. Cary is the administrator of nine DNA tests and wishes there was just more time to organize those matches. She has completed the SLIG Virtual All-DNA Advanced Evidence Analysis Practicum (Fall 2019) and Advanced Evidence Analysis Practicum (Fall 2021).
