Census records are the bread and butter of genealogical research. A census enumeration anchors your ancestors in a time and place, but also offers clues to family migrations and family dynamics. Jay researches Dutch, English, and Americans from his home in Minnesota. He is Past President of the Minnesota Genealogical Society and co-managing editor of their Generatons journal. He has published more than 80 research and teaching articles.
